Founded in 2013 in Shanghai, China, the festival drew 24,000 people in its inaugural year, setting a benchmark for the Chinese EDM industry. The lineup in 2013 included Axwell, Zedd,Headhunterz, Far East Movement, Don Diablo and others.
2014 STORM Platform included 80 STORM themed pre-parties across 21 cities in China, 6 warehouse size parties in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and 2 days of Bud STORM Festival in Shanghai bringing in 35,000 attendees from all over China and surrounding areas. 2014 lineup included megastars like Afrojack, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Cazzette, Kaskade, Krewella, Ke$ha, The Chainsmokers.
2014 marks a defining moment in the history of music in Greater China. Avicii collaborated with American Taiwanese artist Wang Lee Hom, uniting to create incredible single “Lose Myself”.
In 2015, Bud STORM Festival expanded beyond Shanghai, to Shenzhen, and the amount of total participants in 2015 grew to 75,000. The festival experience was heightened by international stars such as Tiësto, Skrillex, Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, DVBBS, A-Trak, and Fedde Le Grand to name a few.
2015 marks yet another historical collaboration, this time pairing Tiësto with Chinese Pop Star Jane Zhang. Their single "Change Your World" landed as No.1 single on 13 radio charts and reached more than 6 million MV online views.
The the coverage of touring cities for Bud STORM expanded to five cities. In addition to Shanghai and Shenzhen in 2015, three more cities were added, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Beijing, which is one of the main reasons for the attendance in 2016 of 180,000 people, with the lineup of Alesso, Hardwell, Tiesto, Oliver Heldens, Afrojack and many others.
Our most recent collaboration paired Alesso and Taiwanese Pop Star, Jolin Tsai. Their single " I Wanna Know" is yet another example of our continued success pairing Western DJ’s with Asian Celebrities.
